The Aviation Program has the responsibility of assuring that publicly owned airports in Georgia are safe, adequate, and well maintained. Georgia DOT serves two primary functions in providing airport aid: Airport Development and Aviation Planning.
The Georgia Department of Transportation intends to amend Rules 672-9-.01, 672-9-.03, 672-9-.04, and 672-9-.05 regarding the licensing of certain open-to-the-public airports.
All interested parties are invited to present any written data, views, or arguments respecting these proposed changes to AviationRules21@dot.ga.gov or Georgia Department of Transportation, Division of Intermodal, 600 West Peachtree Street NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30308. All such written data, views, or arguments must be received by the Georgia Department of Transportation no later than 5:00 p.m. on November 22, 2021.
The State Transportation Board will consider final action on the adoption of the proposed amended rules at its regularly scheduled board meeting on December 9, 2021.
