The Rural Surface Transportation Grant Program has issued funds totaling $645.3 million to help communities around the United States complete transportation projects that will increase mobility, improve safety, and generate regional economic growth in rural areas. ​​

Millen Rail Crossing

Rural Grant Funding:$12 million
Location: Millen, Georgia

The project will eliminate the at-grade crossing on the Millen Bypass to improve both residential and freight mobility in the area. This project will also improve residents’ daily access to local schools, employment centers, and social services while minimizing delays. ​​​​​​​​
