Georgia DOT Fights Human Trafficking

Human trafficking impacts every corner of the globe, including communities across Georgia. The Georgia Department of Transportation is committed to helping end human trafficking through comprehensive education and training that equips our employees to recognize the warning signs of trafficking and understand the appropriate steps to take when they encounter a potential trafficking situation. In addition, Georgia DOT plays an active role in educating the traveling public through a dedicated communications campaign and by providing visible notifications and informational materials at Georgia’s welcome centers and rest areas, helping travelers recognize the signs of human trafficking and understand how and where to report suspected activity. Through its alliance with the GRACE Commission, and with support from Governor and First Lady Kemp, Georgia DOT works collaboratively to raise awareness, strengthen prevention efforts, and empower both employees and the public to take informed action. By working together, we can help protect vulnerable individuals and make a meaningful difference in ending human trafficking in Georgia.
