Thank you for your interest in providing professional services to Georgia DOT. All engineering consultants are required to adhere to the guidelines set forth by the Department before being considered a prequalified consultant.
All applicants are required to submit one prequalification application. Applicants must send their completed application to Georgia DOT via
email. Applications must be submitted with a copy of the Employee Qualification Sheet for each area class being requested.
NOTE: Any application or Employee Qualification Sheet that
does not have an authorized signature will not be processed. Documents below reflect new Class(es) and revisions to existing classes.
Use the list below to jump to the listing of Employee Qualification Statement (EQS) forms for that Area Class.
NOTE: Applicants can submit completed prequalification applications via email to either email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. “Submit button on the Employee Qualification Statement (EQS) form is not operable”. All documents should be submitted in pdf format.
It is not necessary for a firm to have a physical office location in Georgia to
become prequalified to do work for the State of Georgia. However, if a consultant
is not a resident of Georgia, they must present a copy of an “Authorize to Conduct
Business in Georgia” form, from the
Georgia Secretary of State in lieu of a business license. This applies to
New, Renewal, and Resubmittal or Additional applications.
When the prequalification certification expires, a new application must be completed
and submitted for review. In order to avoid delaying the certification process,
we ask that a consultant start their renewal process ninety (90) days prior to the
expiration date of the certificate. Please note that once the application is entered
and reviewed by the Committee, it supersedes the current application, making the
current application null and void.
After a consultant has received the certificate, they may apply for additional area
class(es) for the entire certificate period up to ninety (90) days prior to the
date of expiration. In the event an area class(es) is denied, the consultant
may resubmit additional information for the specified area class(es) within thirty
(30) days for another review.
NOTE: The information on this page pertains only to applicants pursuing prequalification as a consultant under the preconstruction phases.
