Project Description:
The project consists of the reconstruction of the interchange on I-20 at SR 47/US 221 in Columbia County. The existing 24¿ bridge will be replaced with a 65¿-5¿ bridge with 5¿6¿ wide sidewalks and a 4¿-0¿ median. The bridge will be striped for 2 lanes but is being constructed with a sufficient width to accommodate a future 4 lane section. Roundabouts will be constructed at the ramp terminals and Nature¿s Way will be shifted to the north to increase the limited access along SR 47.
