Project Description:

Project ST00-0149(030) begins approximately 0.4 miles south of I-16 and extends north to a point south of CR 585 (Burkhalter Road), tying into project STP-149-1(29). The existing 2 lane roadway will be reconstructed to a 4 lane roadway with a 32' divided depressed median (normal) then transition to a 14ft two way left turn lane approximately 200 feet south of CR 585 and continue to the end of the project. The project includes reconstruction of the I-16 ramp intersections and some relocation of the WB Exit ramp. Project Length is approximately 10.86) Typical sections will include 6.5 foot paved shoulders in the rural sections and 4 foot bike lanes will be utilized in the curb and gutter sections of the project. There will be four 5 lane sections consisting of 12 outside lanes, 11 ft. inside lanes, and a 14 ft. flush median. The design speed will be 45 and 55 mph.
