International Walk & Roll to School Day, also known as IWalk, is typically held the first or second Wednesday of October alongside National Walk & Roll to School Day. Events are held across Georgia with schools and communities to:

Bring attention to safety concerns along students’ walk routes to school
Enhance community and family participation in school-related activities
Provide an opportunity for families to try out walking and rolling to and from school

Encourage healthy active transportation options
Teach children pedestrian safety
And celebrate children who walk and roll to school regularly
Educate drivers about pedestrian and school zone safety
