I-285 Levels of Service

Level of Service is a way to measure the level of congestion on a segment of roadway. The level of service is a graduated scale from A to F with A being the best and F the worst. Levels of Service A through C are generally accepted as high levels of service with little or no congestion. Level of Service D is associated with moderate congestion. Level of Service E designates heavy congestion and Level of Service F denotes severe congestion. Levels of Service at the ten locations shown on the map on I-285 were summarized.  Levels of service for each location can be viewed by clicking on the location buttons on the left menu.
