Roadwork Suspended During Labor Day Weekend 

Georgia DOT will suspend all construction-related lane closures this weekend to aid in the celebration of the Labor Day Holiday.

Beginning at Noon, Friday, August 29 until 5 a.m., Tuesday, September 2.

 Teens in the Driver Seat

 

Teens in the Driver Seat (TDS) is a FREE peer-to-peer safety program designed to reduce the frequency of fatal crashes involving teen drivers by targeting young people behind the wheel. Georgia DOT and the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) have partnered together and developed safety messages surrounding the five major causes of accidents:

  • Driving at Night
  • Speeding and Racing
  • Distractions
  • Seat Belt Usage
  • Drugs and Alcohol

Drive Smart Video Series

Watch Georgia DOT's series of educational videos about the impact of distracting driving. This video series was released in support of the Federal Highway Administration's Toward Zero Deaths initiative to reduce fatalities on the roadways .
