Transportation Stats and Reports

Georgia DOT provides the latest traffic, road and crash report data regarding our transportation system.

Traffic Data

• Annual Traffic Counts - Traffic volumes for each of Georgia's 159 counties are counted on an annual basis.
• Georgia ATR Traffic Data Reports - These reports contain traffic data collected from permanent traffic collection devices throughout the state.
• Georgia's State Traffic And Report Statistics (STARS) - Georgia's STARS provides Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) counts collected from permanent and portable traffic collection devices throughout the state for every segment of Georgia's State Highway System.

Road Data

• Designer's Manual - Georgia Highway System Administrative Review – This document provides project designers insight as to when to account for highway systems administrative activity as a part of project plan development. It also provides the means by which this information should be communicated to the Systems and Classification Branch in Georgia Department of Transportation’s Office of Transportation Data. It is referenced as Appendix V in the PDP 2000 – Manual of Guidance 4050 – TOPPS 4050.
• Georgia DOT HPMS Data Collection Guide (13MB)  - This guide provides additional guidance while collecting data for the Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS). This document is not intended to replace the current HPMS manual, but rather to give you another tool to aid you in the collection of the HPMS data.
• Georgia's Roadway Mileage & Characteristics Reports (400 Series Reports) - These reports depict mileage and Daily Vehicle Miles Traveled (DVMT) in several categories for each county in Georgia and for the state. These reports provide a useful way to tabulate roadway mileage for further reporting and analysis.

• GDOT Bridge Centerline Data Collection Methodology Standards Guide - This guide provides GPS collection methodologies and procedures, establishing a common means of GPS collection by field technicians.

• Data Dictionaries for Bridge GPS Data Collection - This data dictionary can be imported into PathFinder Office v. 2.x for use in the field by GPS data collectors.
