Bibb-Jones Cross County Connector Study

The final report for the Bibb-Jones Cross County Connector Study was completed in January 2005.

The Bibb Jones Cross County Connector Study was divided into two phases.  Phase I, completed in April 2004, collected data and identified a need for a new location roadway connecting I-75 in Bibb/Monroe County to US 80 in east Bibb County.  Phase II, completed in December 2004, identified several potential alignments and identified a preferred planning corridor on which the Cross County Connector could be constructed.  Based on costs, social impacts, environmental impacts, public comments and serving the needs of the traveling public, the preferred planning corridor was presented to the public on November 16, 2004 at a Public Information Meeting held at the Jones County High School in Gray, Georgia.
