Major Construction Projects by State Route

• McGinnis Ferry Road Widening Project (Forsyth/Fulton County)
  Georgia DOT has begun a widening project on McGinnis Ferry Road from Sargent Road to the Chattahoochee River. This project is scheduled to be completed July 31, 2010.

• US 78/SR 124 Intersection Project (Gwinnett County)
  Georgia DOT has initiated a concept and environmental study for the US 78 and SR 124 intersection in Gwinnett County

• SR 20 Grayson Highway Construction (Gwinnett County)
  THis project involves the Widening of existing 2 lane roadway(SR 20 Grayson Highway) to a 4 lane divided highway from Cooper/Ozora Roads to Plantation Boulevard in Grayson, Gwinnett County. The project is 4.1 miles long with an estimated construction cost of $26,866,151.76.

• Old Alabama Road Improvement Project
  The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has initiated environmental and conceptual studies for transportation improvements along Old Alabama Road from Holcomb Bridge Road to Medlock Bridge Road.

• State Route 133 Valdosta-Moultrie Road Widening Project
  The Georgia Department of Transportation has begun a road widening project on the State Route 133 corrider between Valdosta and Albany to improve anticipated capacity.

• US 411 Connector
  Georgia DOT is proposing construction of a US 411 Connector that will provide a direct connection between US 411, at its interchange with US 41 west of Cartersville, and I-75.
