Old Alabama Road Project
This project proposes to widen the section of Old Alabama Road between Buice Road and SR 141/Medlock Bridge Road within the city limits of Johns Creek in north Fulton County.
This section of roadway is currently three 12-foot lanes (two eastbound and one westbound). The proposed project will widen it to four 11-foot travel lanes (two in each direction) separated by a raised median. The 11-foot lanes will help minimize the right-of-way impact. The project will also provide dual left turn lanes from Old Alabama onto SR 141 as well as dual left turn lanes from SR 141 onto Old Alabama and a right turn lane from Buice Road onto Old Alabama.
