US 441 Improvements Survey Results

In fall 2016, Georgia DOT hosted a survey to determine the transportation needs and local priorities for the US 441 corridor using MetroQuest online community engagement software. The MetroQuest interactive platform encouraged respondents to rank their priorities, name specific needs or concerns related to those priorities, add written comments, and even map locations of existing or potential issues along US 441. From October 11 to November 18, 2016, survey respondents could access the online survey from the GDOT US 441 project website or fill out a paper version available at project Public Information Open Houses (PIOHs).

US 441 Timeline

The Citizen Advisory Committees (CACs) for the US 441 Improvement projects in Morgan and Oconee Counties were established to serve as working groups to generate two-way discussion and community feedback. The CACs consist of individuals who represent varied perspectives, such as business, social services, homeowners, historic preservation, environmental organizations, etc. The CACs meet at key milestones over the course of the project to discuss developments and provide input into decision-making. The CACs serve as a place for education, clarification, and consensus building, where the GDOT can build partnerships and share information with community partners.
